Definition
A character limit is the maximum length of a text message or one of its segments. A single SMS segment holds up to 160 GSM-7 characters or 70 characters with Unicode encoding. Longer texts are sent in multiple segments.
In Project Broadcast, messages can contain up to 1,024 characters. Billable texts use one credit per recipient, regardless of the number of SMS segments.
