The 3 things I wish I knew when I started Project Broadcast

Your first step is to take a deep breath and reset that nervous system. Taking on another tool to build your small business can be overwhelming. Even if its the best tool ever. Easiest way to combat being overwhelmed is concentrating on one part at a time. Luckily I have only three in this article! Let’s Go!

When I first started Project Broadcast, it was 2019 and I was still watching Jake’s multi hour training videos with a spiral notebook and pen… scrambling to take notes. Let’s go back to those first couple days and dig deep into what I was feeling. It’s Johanna again, your friendly Project Broadcast Success team member.  No hot dishes today, just straight facts.

Oh yeah…overwhelmed…that’s it.

So, in an effort to help you from feeling this way, let’s chat about the top 3 things I wish I knew when I first started Project Broadcast. Did I mention this is my first blog….ever?

It’s okay to feel overwhelmed. Seriously.

Project Broadcast is amazing. It has so many capabilities and ways to be leveraged…..sloooooow down. First things first. Focus on one thing at a time. Your first focus is Quick Start.  Now, this wasn’t around when I joined, but the magnificent Dawn Barr (my partner in crime here at Project Broadcast) created it. This is a step-by-step guide that baby steps you into the world of Project Broadcast. Take your time and follow each daily step.  If you want to knock it out in one sitting it takes about 45 minutes. You’ll get the link to do that on Day 2. Or just go to training.projectbroadcast.com and create a username/password. Quickstart is the first class you can enroll in on the left!

When you need help…text us.

Go to contacts (the three people tab), click on the search bar and type in “Project Broadcast Success”, then the three dots next to that contact. Then click open chat. Now, send us a quick note saying hi. Dawn and I are right there. Maybe not at 2am in the morning, but during business hours. We can help walk you through training, strategize on your vision for Project Broadcast, troubleshoot errors, etc.

I have so many ideas for PB, where do I go from here???

The first campaign after sending out an Intro to all your contacts (part of your Quick Start winky face) should be an automating follow up campaign.  We have a good webinar on it here and a cheat sheet. Whether it’s a follow up on a purchase, a visit, or an appt, this is an opportunity you don’t want to miss out on. Why is this your next focus? Because your follow up leads to building that relationship. And what is PB all about….building that relationship.

Basically, we all get overwhelmed.  We have all been there. The difference is you got us.  Reach out when you get stuck so we can help. Do a quick start. Seriously. The first thing I’m going to ask is “where in the quick start did you get stuck” and then we are going to break it down and work through it together. I can’t wait to hear from you. Chat soon!
